Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute.

Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.
— Proverbs 31:8-9

We need Christian 20 and 30 somethings committed to the Biblical call to do justice, not just to learn about injustice.

Awareness of injustice is an invitation from God to love others more fully. Throughout Scripture we’re exhorted to speak up for the marginalized, the poor, and the oppressed.

Begin to fulfill this call by sharing what you’ve learned with your friends, family, and lawmakers and tell them why you believe that youth prisons are unjust and should be closed.

Share Justice and Help Close Youth Prisons

"80 youth prisons in US, some with children as young as 12 in. That’s not justice. 80 should be 0!"

"Youth prisons=barbed wire, solitary confinement & armed guards. Not a place for kids - except they are:"

"Kids as young as 12 held in prison in US for non-violent crimes. This is not justice."

"Check out a new report that explores how youth prisons violate human dignity:"

"A new report shows 24,000 youth age 13-18 in the US are warehoused in roughly 80 youth prisons:"
